UFD (Ultrasonic Flaw Detection) – ASNT Level II Inspector

The candidate will be responsible for carrying out Ultrasonic Testing (UT/UFD) of industrial components and structures in accordance with applicable ASNT, ASTM, ASME, and client-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (UFD/UT) inspections on welds, plates, pipes, pressure components, and structural members
• Interpret UT signals, evaluate discontinuities, and assess acceptance as per applicable codes
• Prepare inspection reports, calibration records, and test documentation
• Ensure compliance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A / CP-189 and relevant international standards
• Coordinate with clients, site engineers, and project teams during inspections
• Maintain UT equipment, probes, and calibration blocks
• Follow company HSE policies during site inspections

Qualification & Experience:

• ASNT Level II Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT/UFD) – Mandatory
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Engineering (preferred)
• 2–5 years of hands-on UT inspection experience in industrial environments
• Experience in fabrication shops, power plants, oil & gas, pipelines, or construction sites will be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of ASTM, ASME Section V, AWS, BS, and ISO standards

Skills Required:

• Strong defect interpretation and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently at site
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to travel to project locations
• Familiarity with basic HSE and work-at-height practices

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
