Job Description: Mechanical CAD Engineer (UG NX / AutoCAD) – Contractual Position

Location: Near Pashan, Pune
Employment Type: Contractual (12 months – possibility of extension/increment)
Shift: Fixed Day Shift (8:30 am - 5.00 pm)
Weekly Off: Saturdays & Sundays
Organization Type: Government Defence R&D Establishment (via contractual engagement)
Salary: In Hand Rs. 22,000 - Rs. 24,000 (after all deductions)

Role & Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D drafting and 3D modelling using UG NX and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, assemblies, layouts, and documentation.
• Support design reviews and incorporate engineering changes as required.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, CAD data management, and revision controls.
• Assist in regular office tasks such as documentation, reporting, presentations, and record-keeping using MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Coordinate with scientists, engineers, and technical staff for ongoing R&D and prototyping activities.
• Provide support in lab/field activities as needed (within permitted scope).
• Ensure compliance with internal technical standards and procedures.

Required Skills & Competencies

• UG NX – solid modelling, surface modelling, drafting.
• AutoCAD – 2D drafting & basic 3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and GD&T basics.
• Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication, discipline, and willingness to learn in an R&D environment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: B.Tech (Mechanical preferred).
• However, qualification is not a strict barrier if the candidate possesses strong Mechanical CAD skills.
• Training: Must have completed a certified training course in Mechanical CAD.
• Experience: Freshers are welcome, provided the CAD training requirement is met.

Preferred Candidates

• Candidates born and brought up in Pune or within ~100 km radius.
• Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
