Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Residential Maintenance Engineer in London to support a portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) private residences. This is a rare opportunity to work within some of the capital’s most prestigious homes, delivering a discreet, five-star standard maintenance service.

This role is ideal for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with strong experience across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, gained within luxury residential, private estates, or five-star hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across luxury properties
• Diagnose and repair faults across boilers, heating systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Oversee and maintain plant rooms, building infrastructure, and critical systems
• Respond rapidly to maintenance issues, breakdowns, and emergency call-outs
• Conduct routine inspections and system checks to prevent downtime
• Manage and supervise specialist contractors and service providers
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, compliance logs, and service documentation
• Support refurbishments, upgrades, and new system installations
• Ensure compliance with UK health & safety regulations and industry standards
• Provide a professional, discreet service within occupied UHNW residences

Technical Skills & Systems Experience

Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with:

• Boilers & heating systems (e.g. Viessmann)
• Pressurised domestic water systems & cylinders
• Pumps (booster and circulation systems)
• Air conditioning & ventilation systems (HVAC / MVHR) – Daikin, Fujitsu, Nuaire
• Security systems – CCTV, alarms, access control
• Lighting control systems – Lutron
• Building Management Systems (BMS) – Trend IQView
• Luxury appliances – Gaggenau, Sub-Zero
• Electrical fault finding & general building maintenance
• Plumbing and mechanical diagnostics

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Residential Maintenance Engineer, Property Engineer, or Estate Engineer in London or the UK
• Background in UHNW private households, luxury residences, private estates, or five-star hotels
• Strong multi-skilled engineering capability (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties or tasks
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Discreet, professional, and experienced in high-profile environments
• Flexible for out-of-hours support and emergency response

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building services
• Certifications such as 18th Edition, Gas Safe, F-Gas highly desirable
• Additional compliance or specialist system training advantageous
