We're seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to create intuitive digital experiences for the Pivot insulin pump and next-generation diabetes technology. You'll design mobile apps, portals, and data dashboards that simplify diabetes management for patients and healthcare providers.

Design end-to-end experiences for iOS, Android, and web applications including companion apps, provider tools, and onboarding flows

Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that transform complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces

Build and maintain a comprehensive design system in Figma with design tokens, component libraries, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+)

Partner with iOS, Android, and web development teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation

Conduct user research and usability testing with patients, diabetes educators, and healthcare providers to validate design decisions

Collaborate with product, clinical, engineering, and marketing teams in Agile/Scrum processes

Bachelor's in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

4-7 years of UX/UI or product design experience focused on consumer digital products

Proven experience shipping native mobile products (iOS/Android) with strong understanding of platform-specific design patterns

Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking and successful product launches (portfolio required)

Expert proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools

Strong visual design skills with attention to UI aesthetics, typography, and brand consistency

Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+)

Excellent communication skills with ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments

Experience designing for healthcare, medical devices, or chronic disease management

Familiarity with FDA human factors requirements (IEC 62366-1) for regulated medical devices

Experience with data visualization, health dashboards, or gamified experiences

Understanding of diabetes terminology and patient needs
Location: San Diego, CA (on-site/hybrid)
Travel: Occasional (up to 15%) for user research and conferences
