Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced UI Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces using React and GraphQL.Your work will be integral in delivering high-quality, intuitive experiences that interface seamlessly with our backend APIs. Automated testing is a key aspect of our development process, and experience in this area will be highly valued. Experience within the fintech industry is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• UI Development: UI Development: Design and implement robust, scalable, and responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React
• API Integration: Consume and integrate data from REST and GraphQL APIs to create dynamic and data-driven web applications.
• Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our product manager, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver effective, high quality and high-performance user experiences.
• Optimization: Ana;yse and optimize application performance and scalability.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a UI Engineer or Frontend Developer.
• Proven hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript React.
• Familiarity with web authentication methods
• Proven experience of automated UI testing

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.o Experience with consuming and integrating GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
• Experience of MFA and JWT for web authentication
• Strong background in automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest,
• Cypress, Testing Library, etc.).
• Familiarity with Jira, Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Fintech Advantage:

Experience working in the fintech industry or on payment-related projects is highly desirable

Other Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on own initiative

Interpersonal and communication skills, Comms in English is a mandatory skill because our team works globally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with state management libraries (e.g. Next.js Context API).
• Knowledge of CSS frameworks and preprocessors (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
