UK Accountant – UK Accounting Experience Required

Job Description

We are looking for a UK-experienced Accountant to support our growing accounting and compliance work for UK clients. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience with UK Year-end , bookkeeping, VAT, payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for UK limited companies and sole traders
• VAT returns (Cash & Accrual basis)
• Payroll processing and RTI submissions
• CIS monthly returns and verification
• Preparation of management accounts
• Assisting with year-end accounts and CT600
• Bank reconciliations and control accounts
• Working on Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
• Handling client queries and maintaining schedules

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 to 2 years UK accounting experience (mandatory)
• Knowledge of UK compliance
• Hands-on experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks
• Understanding of UK compliance deadlines
• Good Excel skills (reconciliations, schedules)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• ACCA / CA / relevant qualification (or pursuing) preferred
