Ukrainian Interpreter

We are looking for US Based professional bilingual Ukrainian and English speakers that are passionate about languages and helping others, people that would like to become medical interpreters and want to join an international company.

You will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between Ukrainian-speaking patients and healthcare providers. In this rewarding position, you will serve as a bridge, facilitating understanding and enabling patients to receive the care they need. It is essential that the candidate can understand and interpret a variety of medical-related terminology and be knowledgeable about various medical processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls in a professional manner.
• Customer service Skills.
• Be always prepared to take notes during a call.
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
• Participate in a in-house professional training.
• Communicate and report to your team leader.
• Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services during medical consultations, medical terminology, procedures, instructions, information between Polish -speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals and other healthcare interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions
• Participate in workshops and coaching opportunities to enhance your interpreting skills

Qualifications:

• Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language (Ukrainian).
• Speak Ukrainian as your mother or main language
• Speak English in a C1 or higher level.
• Strong emotional intelligence and a deep respect for diverse cultures.
• High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
• Fluency in both Ukrainian and English, with the ability to interpret between the two languages seamlessly.
• Strong ethical principles and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Taking a Language, Terminology testing (This is done after the training)
• background check is required.

Requirements: Since this position is fully remote, you should comply with several technical requirements for your computer. We need to ensure that your home office will work effectively.
