Description:

The Station Supervisor is responsible for supervising workshop operations and ensuring production targets are met in compliance with company certifications, customer requirements, and health & safety regulations.

This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, workforce management, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities and Mapped Competencies:

Operational Oversight and Compliance:

Ensures Accountability, Drives Results

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EASA, CAA regulations and customer requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate production workflow and manpower needs with the Station/Area Manager.
  • Assign qualified repair technicians to tasks, ensuring efficient and productive operations.
  • Ensure all work orders and time sheets are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels following company inventory control procedures.

Workforce Management and Training:

  • Facilitate and oversee training and recurrent training in compliance with EASA, CAA regulations, manufacturer’s technical data, and company requirements.
  • Ensure all employees are adequately trained and competent in their roles within the workshop.
  • Maintain compliance with MOE training records for all repair station personnel.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to improve skills and enhance productivity.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

Customer Focus, Collaborate

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers and regulatory agencies during audits or station visits.
  • Assist the Station/Area Manager in responding to audit reports and implementing corrective and preventative actions.

Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure system security of the EASA, CAA approved electronic record keeping system in areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment that meets all health & safety standards.
  • Maintain aviation components when required, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in loading/unloading vehicles as necessary.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures and best practices to maintain high-quality operational standards.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Practical experience in a sheet metal or aviation workshop.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-activity environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and aviation regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate training sessions and lead teams effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift, pull, and push in excess of 65 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical publications and drawings.
