Ultrasonographer for Clinical Research Study

Background

Surf Therapeutics is developing a non-invasive ultrasound therapy to treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. The company is starting a new clinical trial in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX and is looking to recruit 2 talented sonographers with availability Monday to Sunday. In this study, the experimental treatment will be administered by the study sonographer once daily in participants' homes. The role of the study sonographer will be to maintain the equipment, transport it to the participants' homes, perform regular ultrasound scans of the spleen using a handheld device, assist in the application of the study therapy, and complete all study related documentation.

You will be paid as an independent contractor (1099). Each study visit should take about 45 minutes. All participants will be located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area. You will be provided with all the equipment and training required to complete the job.

Position

  • Sonographer for research study
  • 30-minute research US intervention
  • 1-6 study visits per day, 3-4 days a week Monday to Sunday
  • $400/day

Required Work Experience

  • Trained Ultrasonographer with at least 2 years working in a hospital or outpatient radiology department
  • Experience performing abdominal and LUQ/splenic ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Keep all study ultrasound equipment in excellent condition ensuring it is in clean and in good working order.
  • Conduct sonography examinations and capture high-quality images of the spleen to aid in device positioning and for later review by the study team.
  • Aid the participant in the application of the investigational US.
  • Maintain accurate patient study records
  • Collaborate with medical professionals as needed to interpret results and provide insights.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
