Position Overview

Uwill is expanding its Umed medical support options in response to growing client demand. We are seeking a licensed Medical Doctor (MD/DO) to join our team and deliver high-quality, patient centered care in a tele-health urgent care setting. This role focuses primarily on delivery and oversight of direct patient care via the Uwill tele-health platform.

Qualifications

  • Education and Training

    • Medical degree from US-accredited institution.

    • Board Certified in Emergency, Internal, or Family Medicine.

    • At least 5 years’ experience as a practicing direct care physician with a focus in urgent or primary care.

    • At least 3 years’ experience of providing care via telemedicine.

  • Licensure

    • Reside in an IMLC state and qualify/or hold IMLC approval.

    • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in multiple states, including Delaware (an IMLC state) specifically and willing to obtain licensure in states where not currently licensed.

    • Unrestricted DEA registration, including Delaware (an IMLC state) specifically, and willing to obtain as needed in additional states.

  • Other

    • Available to work occasional evening and weekend days each month

    • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-moving company preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, compassionate, and evidence-based medical care in a digital urgent care environment, including prescribing non-controlled substances as warranted

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions

  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate

  • Provide feedback on opportunities to improve Uwill’s model efficiency, tools, and responsiveness to Uwill users, especially attuned to Uwill’s fast-paced growth

  • Collect data, document member interactions, organize information, track tasks, and communicate with the team, members, and community resources as needed

What We Offer You

  • Location: anywhere in the continental US

  • A 1099 contract position with travel limited to paid quarterly visits to Uwill Boston area headquarters

  • Full Time Compensation: Base salary and visits: $3000 to $ 6000 per month stipend, depending on experience and breadth of licensure; plus $20 per visit
