Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors in a professional services setting. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to upholding safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure safety and security.
• Control access points and verify identification of visitors, staff, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents.
• Provide assistance and directions to visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order.
• Coordinate with local emergency services when necessary.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• CPR certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in security, customer service, or a professional office environment preferred.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Combination of indoor and outdoor patrols.
• May include evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• Regular interaction with staff, visitors, and contractors.
