Unarmed Security Officer-Brunswick, GA

Culpepper & Associates is looking for a full and part time highly skilled, Licensed, Unarmed Security Officer for positions at the Brunswick, GA VA CBOC. The ideal candidates must:

Perform with limited or no supervision and carry out pre-determined and recurring tasks.
Be responsible for the protection and safety of the occupants and contents of the Brunswick VA CBOC.
Conduct random patrols throughout their shift.
Operate the magnetometer and security wand to process employees and visitors.

Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Ability to read and understand operating procedures
Ability to prepare clear, legible reports
Intermediate computer skills (wireless technology systems)
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Have at least two (2) years’ experience in contract or proprietary security and/or Military or Law Enforcement experience within the past five years.
Be a US citizen and at least 21 years old.
Be fluent in English with the ability to read and understand printed regulations, written orders and instructions.
Possess excellent written/oral communication skills and maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Be physically and mentally fit and capable of performing all normal emergency security duties and responsibilities.
Not have a history of substance abuse or domestic violence or any criminal acts.
