Key Responsibilities
1. Design temporary and permanent dewatering systems (wellpoints, deep wells, sump pumping, ejector systems, etc.) based on site-specific soil and groundwater conditions.
2. Conduct hydrogeological and geotechnical data analysis to determine dewatering requirements.
3. Prepare dewatering design reports, engineering drawings, method statements, and calculations.
4. Select pumps, generators, and system components suitable for site conditions and project requirements.
5. Provide technical support to project managers and site engineers during installation, commissioning, and operation of dewatering systems.
6. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to review project specifications and design requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
8. Troubleshoot and optimize system performance to achieve project dewatering targets.
9. Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and technical proposals for tenders.
10. Stay updated on industry innovations, pumping technologies, and sustainable water management practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in dewatering system design within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of hydrogeology, soil mechanics, and groundwater flow principles.
  • Proficiency in design/analysis software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, pumping/hydraulic modeling tools).
  • Familiarity with pumps, generators, and related mechanical/electrical equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
