The Superintendent oversees and directs the performance of all field construction activities for assigned crews regarding plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Responsibilities-
Complete Three week look ahead which are to be turned in by end of day on Thursday

Attending weekly scheduling meeting with updated information

Work effectively with Project Managers to manage the budget throughout the duration of the project

Schedule all subs with adequate notice
-
Maintain job schedule weekly and informing Project Managers and General Superintendents of any deviations from original plan
-
Communicate with concrete division to update job readiness
-
Building master schedule for each project
-
Approve all time before 5 pm on Mondays (This is mandatory)

Interview and hire workers for crews
-
Comply with all OSHA and Moss safety policies and guidelines (Use stop work authority if necessary)

Answer or return ALL phone calls in a timely manner (minutes not hours – send a text message if you cannot answer)

Review plan with foreman to verify accuracy, materials, and sub crews
-
Scheduling equipment, fuel, and tools with a minimum of 72 hours notice

Review all safety documents and implementation of best practices

Hold Foreman accountable for job duties and safety standards

Be observant of quality of work, materials on site, and possible conflicts of schedule

Build relationships with Inspectors

Build good relationships with General Contractor (spend time daily communicating with them)

Verify that BaseCamp is updated with proper outline provided by VP, Field Operations
-
Verify that Operators are properly completing machine inspection reports by looking at the machines with the reports to verify the accuracy.

Support a positive safety culture

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications-
Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.

Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.

Reliable attendance. Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
