Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized
Underwriting Operations Technician
to join a team. This role is integral to supporting an underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onsite training period.

Responsibilities

Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.

Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.

Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.

Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.

Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.

Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.

Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.

Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.

Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.
Qualifications/Requirements

Prior experience in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.

Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines and regulations is a plus.

Experience with insurance rating and policy systems is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to read and interpret policy language effectively.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
