Universal Banker (Teller / Customer Service Representative)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and operations-focused Universal Banker, to support branch operations through accurate transaction processing and high-quality customer service. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and delivering a consistent and professional client experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to balance transactional responsibilities with customer interaction, all while contributing to a positive and efficient branch environment.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Operations & Transaction Processing

· Process daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments with accuracy

· Ensure all transactions comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

· Maintain proper cash handling and balancing procedures

· Support overall branch operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence

Customer Service & Support

· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with routine banking transactions and inquiries

· Assist clients with account inquiries, problem resolutions, and service requests

· Maintain a courteous and service-oriented environment while prioritizing accuracy and efficiency

· Support customers in navigating basic banking services and account needs

Operational Support & Compliance

· Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

· Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping

· Assist with branch reporting and administrative tasks as needed

Team & Branch Support

· Collaborate with branch team members to ensure smooth daily operations

· Provide operational support to Branch Managers and staff as needed

· Maintain flexibility to assist in various functions within the branch

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 1-3 years of banking, teller or operations experience preferred

· Strong cash handling and transactional accuracy skills

· Working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance practices preferred

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong communication and customer service abilities

· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Compensation

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience)
