About the Role:

Elytra Studios is looking for a creative and technically skilled Unreal Engine Gameplay Programmer to lead the development of innovative and engaging gameplay experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with solid expertise in both programming and game design, eager to build polished, immersive, and responsive game systems.

This is a full-time on-site position based in Lahore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, debug, and optimize core gameplay mechanics and systems using C++ and Blueprints in Unreal Engine.
• Design and develop AI behaviors using Unreal’s AI Blackboard and State Tree systems.
• Architect and maintain clean, scalable game code aligned with Unreal’s gameplay framework and Gameplay Ability System.
• Bridge the gap between design and programming, contributing ideas that improve player experience and gameplay flow.
• Collaborate closely with artists and designers for seamless integration of all gameplay features.

Required Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of professional experience as a Gameplay Programmer on Unreal Engine projects.
• Proven expertise in C++ within the Unreal Engine environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Blueprint visual scripting for rapid prototyping and iteration.
• Experience in building and iterating on diverse game systems and complex mechanics.
• Strong technical understanding of Unreal Engine’s architecture and gameplay systems.
• A genuine passion for gameplay programming and fine-tuning player interactions.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with multiplayer networking and replication in Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub, Perforce, etc.).
