UPHOLSTERER

We need someone responsible for repairing, restoring, and creating upholstered furniture and other cushioned items by using fabric, leather, foam, springs, and padding materials. They ensure high-quality workmanship while following design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Measure, cut, and install fabric, leather, foam, and padding materials.

* Repair and restore sofas, chairs, beds, cushions, and other upholstered furniture.

* Remove old upholstery and replace damaged materials.

* Operate upholstery tools and equipment such as sewing machines, staplers, and cutting tools.

* Read and interpret design drawings, measurements, and customer requirements.

* Ensure proper fitting, finishing, and appearance of upholstered products.

* Conduct quality checks on finished work.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

* Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.

* Coordinate with supervisors, carpenters, and interior fit-out teams when necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications

* Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role.

* Knowledge of upholstery materials, fabrics, leather, foam, and furniture structures.

* Ability to use upholstery tools and sewing machines.

* Good measuring, cutting, and stitching skills.

* Attention to detail and craftsmanship.

* Physical ability to lift and move furniture items.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

* Furniture restoration and repair experience.

* Basic carpentry knowledge.

* Time management and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to meet deadlines and production targets.

Working Conditions

* Work may be performed in workshops, factories, construction sites, or customer locations.

* May require standing for long periods and handling heavy materials or furniture.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR1,000.00 - QAR1,500.00 per month
