Upholstery technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and replace damaged upholstery, including fabric, leather, or vinyl.
• Install new seat covers, door panels, and headliners.
• Measure, cut, and sew materials to fit various vehicle interiors.
• Restore classic or luxury car interiors to original specifications.
• Inspect interiors for wear and tear and recommend maintenance or replacement.
• Work with adhesives, foam, and other padding materials.
• Coordinate with painters and body technicians to match interior colors and styles.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of upholstery materials (leather, vinyl, suede, etc.)
• Sewing and stitching skills (manual and machine).
• Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work with tools like staple guns, scissors, and heat guns.
• Experience in color matching and finishing.
• Creativity in design and customization.
