The Upper Primary Coordinator is responsible for the academic leadership, curriculum implementation, teacher supervision, student performance monitoring, and smooth administration of the Upper Primary section. The coordinator ensures high teaching standards, discipline, academic consistency, and alignment with CBSE guidelines.
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership & Curriculum Management
- Plan and implement annual academic calendar in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
- Monitor lesson plans, yearly planners, and weekly academic delivery.
- Ensure effective completion of syllabus within timelines.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain uniformity in teaching methodology across subjects and sections.
- Coordinate internal assessments, exams, and result analysis.
2. Teacher Supervision & Development
- Lead and mentor subject teachers of the Upper Primary section.
- Conduct weekly academic review meetings.
- Identify training needs and organize workshops.
- Monitor teacher punctuality, documentation, and classroom discipline.
- Support new teachers with induction and guidance.
3. Student Performance & Discipline
- Track academic progress and identify slow learners and advanced learners.
- Plan remedial classes and enrichment programs.
- Maintain discipline and ensure positive school culture.
- Address behavioral issues in coordination with parents and school leadership.
- Promote holistic development including co-curricular participation.
4. Assessment & Result Analysis
- Supervise question paper preparation and moderation.
- Ensure quality and standard of evaluation.
- Conduct result analysis meetings with teachers.
- Prepare performance reports for management review.
5. Parent Communication
- Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Address academic and behavioral concerns of students.
- Communicate academic plans and updates clearly to parents.
- Ensure transparency in assessment and feedback.
6. Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in timetable preparation.
- Ensure maintenance of academic records and documentation.
- Monitor attendance and follow-up on irregular students.
- Coordinate with examination department for smooth conduct of exams.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE norms and school policies.
