UPS/Battery Service Tech

Data Center Service Group seeking an enthusiastic professional to be part of the DCSG “Battery Team”; the position’s work will be in data centers/facilities in Northern Virgina, mostly in Loudon County. However, travel might be required at times to other areas.

A Battery Service Engineer is responsible for installations, certifications, and preventative maintenance for battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems, DC Rectifiers and Generators.

The position’s compensation is paid at an hourly rate, and the work tends to be in Monday-Friday, mostly during regular business hours (average times – 6AM to 230PM but varies). In infrequent occasions, some after-hours/weekend work might be required.

Skills:

· Technician must be reliable, organized, and professional with solid customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in various challenging situations.

· Field Service experience is preferred.

Job Requirements:

· Must have a flexible schedule.

· Must be able to lift 100lbs.

· Clean driving record

· Basic mechanical / troubleshooting abilities

· Task oriented

· Basic knowledge of electricity (AC and DC)

· When needed, assist DCSG Logistics and Restoration Teams

· Always uphold the DCSG standard of quality workmanship and excellent professionalism.

· Preferred - Proficient in laptop / computer skills, typing, and data entry, as documentation will be a part of this position.
