*Job Description*

Sparking Asia is seeking a motivated and experienced Upwork Specialist to manage daily business development operations. You will step into a core execution role, handling the day-to-day lifecycle of our Upwork accounts during the morning or evening shifts.

The ideal candidate handles the entire funnel independently, from submitting high-converting proposals and managing initial client communications to taking meetings, closing deals, and coordinating project handoffs with our internal delivery teams.

*Key Responsibilities*

*Proposal & Bid Management*: Identify relevant business opportunities on Upwork and submit tailored, high-converting proposals.

Lead Conversion & Closing: Handle incoming leads, manage client communications professionally, conduct video/audio meetings confidently, and close deals.

Account Coordination: Manage active job feeds, monitor connects utilization, and maintain optimal responsiveness on active profiles.

*Cross-Department Coordination:* Act as the bridge between the client and our internal delivery teams, coordinating directly with Virtual Assistance (Admin), Graphics, Video Editing, Social Media Marketing, and Web Development departments to ensure smooth onboarding.

*Daily Reporting:* Maintain clear logs of submitted proposals, active leads, client feedback, and daily pipeline status.

Requirements

*Proven Experience:* Direct track record as an Upwork Bidder, Business Development Executive, or Freelance Account Manager.

*Communication Skills:* Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to lead live discovery and closing calls with international clients.

*Technical Familiarity:* A solid understanding of the workflows and deliverables across digital services, specifically SEO, Web Development, VA, Marketing, and Design.

*Operational Independence:* Ability to manage deadlines, resolve minor client issues independently, and keep the pipeline moving without constant supervision.

*Shift Flexibility*: Ability to work dedicated morning or evening shifts.

Preferred Skills

Experience using CRMs and proposal tracking tools.

Strong follow-up skills to revive cold leads and nurture ongoing relationships.
