Urgent Part-Time Nanny for 1 Teenager special needs

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Advocate to support children with special needs and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development and the unique challenges faced by families navigating the complexities of special education and care. This role requires the care of a teenager girl on Sundays, occasionally during the week as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized advocacy for children with special needs, ensuring their rights are upheld in educational settings.
• Assist in meal preparation for child in your care. (When asked)
• Maintain a clean and organized space for children, promoting hygiene and safety.
• Offer first aid when necessary and respond effectively to any medical emergencies.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is essential specifically with autism.
• Skills in autism care
• Familiarity with first aid practices is preferred; certification is a plus.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to children's dietary requirements.
• A genuine passion for advocating for children's rights and well-being.
• Patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
