Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care across a broad range of dental services, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. This role offers an opportunity to work in a well-equipped clinic utilizing advanced dental technology and software, such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using advanced medical imaging and dental terminology
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop personalized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Conduct various procedures such as dental restorations, root canal therapy, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
- Collaborate with dental assistants and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes
- Stay current with advances in dentistry, including medical terminology, dental fabrication, and new treatment modalities
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state dental license with no disciplinary actions
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred
- Experience in general dentistry with additional skills in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, or other specialties is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality
