Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on used vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
• Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology to accurately troubleshoot complex problems.
• Identify additional needed repairs and communicate clearly with service advisors and used car managers
• Repair or replace powertrain components such as diesel engines and transmission systems with precision.
• Perform wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and vehicle suspension adjustments to ensure optimal handling and safety.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery efficiently to complete repairs effectively.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with team members to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop and OSHA standards

Qualifications

• Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical background.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
• Experience working on Mopar vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
• Skilled in diesel engine repair, auto body repair, welding, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with ADAS technology and alignment procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering professional solutions.
• Mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems including transmissions and drivetrains.
• Certification or training in automotive electrical systems or advanced diagnostics is a plus and will be considered 1st, but not mandatory. Pay: $24.15 - $55.00 per hour
