Main Purpose
To work as a Mechanical Technician responsible for the operation and maintenance of process and packaging equipment in the aseptic production area and finished production area.

Perform troubleshooting and provide support in qualification activities related to aseptic and finished production areas.

Responsibility
Measurement Criteria
-
Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical problems in process and packaging equipment.
-
Perform preventative maintenance per defined intervals/schedules in a timely manner and document concerns/resolutions.
-
Participate in and support qualification and calibration activities related to process machines.
-
Ensure work compliance to engineering standards, tolerances, and fits.
-
Recognize and correct potential equipment failures or unsafe conditions and report to superiors.

Operate machine shop equipment (drilling, grinding, cutting, pneumatic tools, manual/electric hand tools).

Conduct troubleshooting, basic root cause analysis, and develop solutions.
-
Ensure availability of mechanical spare parts, conduct inventory checks, and perform stock inspections.

Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.

Maintain proper care and cleanliness of tools, parts, materials, and work areas.

Cover shifts/holidays if required, including temperature/humidity monitoring and utilities functionality checks.

Provide action plans and status reports when needed.
Key Skills & Experience
Educational Qualification
-
Associate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
(Must Have – Advanced Level)
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific experience in biotechnology and aseptic production maintenance support.
(Must Have – Expert Level)
