Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision.
• Support the catering and banquet teams by providing clean dishware and assisting with setup or breakdown when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, floors, and storage areas to promote a safe and hygienic environment.
• Handle food handling responsibilities in accordance with safety protocols to ensure proper sanitation practices are followed.
• Support the serving staff by bussing tables during busy service periods to keep dining areas tidy.
• Follow all safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.

Skills

• Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely.
• Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining hygiene standards across all work areas.
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with culinary staff and servers.
• Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
