Utility Locator

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utilities to ensure safe construction, excavation, and maintenance activities. Your expertise will help prevent costly damages, protect public safety, and support efficient project execution. Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to locate underground utilities such as water, gas, electric, telecommunications, and sewer lines.
• Interpret blueprints, maps, and land survey data to accurately identify utility locations.
• Mark utility lines clearly on the ground using spray paint or flags to guide construction crews and excavators.
• Conduct site inspections to verify utility locations prior to excavation or construction activities.
• Collaborate with construction teams, land surveyors, and project managers to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field service role involving utility locating or land surveying.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings related to utilities.
• Hands-on experience with utility locating equipment and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and contractors.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
