Utility Worker/Dishwasher, Full Time

Epworth Villa is looking for a Part Time Dish Washer. This is a great position to get your foot in the door learning the workings of the kitchen and back of house!

The selected candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include any day of the week, with day shifts beginning as early as 6:30 AM and evening shifts ending as late as 8:30 PM.

UTILITY WORKER DESCRIPTION:

The Utility Worker is responsible for general kitchen sanitation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. He or she will work with our kitchen and wait staff to ensure a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, glassware, cooking utensils, pots, and pans are available at all times. He/she also ensures that floors are cleaned and maintained and that trash is removed.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, has some previous experience, can lift/carry 50 to 100 pounds, and is willing to work in a noisy and fast paced environment.

UTILITY WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware to stock the dining areas and set tables
• Ensures a proper supply of clean pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available for kitchen staff
• Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
• Cleans floors and removes trash
• Assists with unloading supply truck
• Helps with inventory and with stocking items in the kitchen and dining areas
• Organizes and cleans the coolers
• Checks for spoiled food items
• Assists with weekly deep cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

UTILITY WORKER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Some related experience preferred but not required
• Fluent English speaking/writing communication skills
• Must be able to maintain general sanitary/safety practices
• Must be able to follow spoken and written instructions
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 - 100 pounds
