UX Designer – GeoAnalytics

Title: UX Designer – GeoAnalytics (Google Earth)

About the Role
Google’s GeoAnalytics team is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on UX Designer to support ongoing Google Earth projects. This role focuses on designing intuitive experiences for highly complex, data-dense geospatial workflows. You’ll work closely with PMs, engineers, and senior designers to execute roadmap features during a leave coverage period.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end interaction flows for geospatial and data visualization tools.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear UX solutions.
• Produce polished, system-aligned visual designs in Figma.
• Build prototypes to communicate interaction patterns.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional partners.
• Simplify complex workflows into intuitive experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong interaction design skills with polished execution.
• Experience with design systems and information-dense interfaces.
• High attention to detail; ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Figma and UX best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with maps, geospatial tools, or data visualization.
• Prototyping or motion design skills.
• Familiarity with AI-driven workflows and front-end constraints.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
