About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled UX Designer to join the Live Ads team. This role focuses on delivering seamless consumer-facing ad experiences across YouTube Live and YouTube TV platforms, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and non-disruptive user interactions across desktop, mobile, and TV devices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong design expertise, technical understanding, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional partners including Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver wireframes, mockups, and specifications for live ad experiences across multiple devices (TV, mobile, desktop).
• Work within and extend existing design systems to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and researchers to define, design, and validate user experiences.
• Participate in weekly team syncs, design reviews, and research discussions.
• Contribute to the evolution of side-by-side ads and other innovative ad formats.
• Ensure pixel-perfect execution with attention to detail and usability.
• Present portfolio case studies highlighting design process, solutions, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of professional experience in UX/Product Design.
• Strong proficiency in Figma (must-have); knowledge of Photoshop and prototyping tools (bonus).
• Proven experience designing for responsive and consumer-facing products across devices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while engaging in collaborative reviews.
• Strong understanding of design systems and scalable UX practices.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for live ads or live streaming platforms (e.g., TikTok, Twitch, Instagram).
• Strong technical background or prior experience working with engineering constraints.
• Exposure to motion/animated mockups and transitions within Figma for video-based experiences.
• Prior work experience in consumer-facing digital products with strong attention to pixel-perfect visual design.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $95.00 - $100.00 per hour
