Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Supervisor to oversee operations at our Huntingdon Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering enhanced maintenance efficiently. An additional allowance of £3,000 is payable once DV Clearance has been gained.
To lead, oversee and control an effective on-site Repairs & Planned Maintenance operation
· You will understand and take responsibility for the fact that this role is pivotal to the successful day-to-day management of a repairs & maintenance service for VIVO & DIO and will be the principal point of contact for the site under your control.
· You will oversee the core works and the operatives on behalf of MMS working in conjunction with the MMS management team.
· You will demonstrate a “can do” attitude, with an eye for detail and be able to transmit and encourage that attitude.
· You will be able independently to supervise the repairs team, be customer focused, forward thinking and professional.
· You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be a “people person”.
You will need to be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent leadership skills.
Key Tasks
Staff Supervision
· To oversee the cost-efficient delivery of workforce resources on your site.
· To maintain a high level of supervision for directly employed operatives and sub- contractors
· To provide guidance, coaching and team leadership to maximise staff capability on the site under your control
· To track the effective allocation of, and monitor and progress general workloads
· To ensure a seamless service and teamwork between all areas of the Repairs & Maintenance Team.
· Assist with disciplinary, grievance, capability and sickness hearings, as necessary following HR advice.
Contractor Management
· To supervise sub-contractor operations ensuring works are executed according to contract specification.
· To ensure all works adhere to current legislation and MMS & VIVO H&S and Quality policies
· To ensure works are carried out in line with the contract budget (or quotation) and to specification.
Process Management
· To assist with van inspections, Operative Audits, van stocks, time sheets, risk assessments, method statements, tool-box talks and Health & Safety issues.
· To liaise with the MMS Management Team to assist in preparation and management of works.
· To help ensure MMS and the Client’s Policies and Procedures are followed and met at all times
· To help ensure the Site exceeds the Company’s performance requirements and Aims & Objectives
· To assist in carrying out daily tasks as an electrician on planned & response maintenance so that during peak periods jobs are completed in accordance with the agreed response completion dates.

Essential Qualifications
· City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 Electrical or equivalent
· City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
· City & Guilds 2382 18th IEE Regulations
Desirable Qualifications
· City & Guilds 2394 Inspection & Testing.
Experience
· Essential
o Good technical capability & understanding in order problem solve essential repairs
o Experience in planning & monitoring progress of works and programming works for others
o Excellent H&S knowledge and experience and able to prepare risk & method statements.
· Desirable
o Experience of supervising a team of 5 or more operatives
o Experience in preparing ROC and/or target costs
o Experience in attending site meetings and following through on actions agreed
o Experience in carrying out safety & quality audits on completed job packs and review essential changes and required improvements so that full compliance is met.
Pay: £43,025.10-£46,671.60 per year
