Position: Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Field Technician

We are seeking a qualified Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Field Technician to install and repair VFD systems for our clients. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of VFD units in the field. You will also respond to equipment breakdowns, perform on-site repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades. As a representative of Greenheck in Northern, Central, and Southeast Florida, you will occasionally work on and start up Greenheck equipment. We offer all necessary factory-level training, as well as field training with our experienced service technicians.


Position Responsibilities:


o Meet with clients to discuss their VFD electrical needs and requirements.

o Provide basic VFD instructions and equipment training to clients.

o Install, troubleshoot, and commission VFD units at clients' locations.

o Review electrical connections to ensure proper application of electrical equipment.

o Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform on-site repairs.

o Test, calibrate, and repair damaged VFD units.

o Perform preventative maintenance on VFD systems to ensure optimal performance.

o Occasionally work on and start up Greenheck DOAS equipment as needed.

o Advise clients on equipment upgrades and promote company products and services.

o Maintain strong customer relations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

o Complete work orders and maintain detailed records of services performed.

o Maintain field instrumentation and equipment in good working order.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

o Experience with field metering equipment.

o Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.

o Ability to work safely with high voltage electrical systems.

o Willingness to travel within Northern, Central, and Southeast Florida.

Requirements:

o High School diploma or GED equivalent

o Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
