Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vehicle Acquisition Manager to lead our efforts in sourcing high-quality vehicles for our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, extensive experience in automotive sales, and a proven track record in managing sales pipelines. This role involves building relationships with vendors, negotiating deals, and ensuring a steady flow of inventory to meet customer demand. Multilingual abilities and dealership experience are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse partners and clients. The Vehicle Acquisition Manager will play a critical role in maintaining inventory levels, supporting sales teams, and contributing to the overall growth of our automotive business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for acquiring vehicles through various channels, including B2B sales, auctions, and direct vendor relationships
- Negotiate purchase terms, prices, and conditions with dealerships, private sellers, and other sources to secure optimal inventory
- Manage the sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of high-end and desirable vehicles
- Utilize CRM software to track acquisitions, manage contacts, and streamline communication processes
- Collaborate with marketing teams to identify market trends and adjust acquisition strategies accordingly
- Conduct outreach via cold calling, outbound sales efforts, and public speaking engagements to expand vendor networks
- Oversee inventory management and control to maintain appropriate stock levels aligned with sales forecasts
- Support the sales team by providing accurate vehicle information and assisting with upselling opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when engaging with vendors and internal teams
- Assist in developing training materials or presentations related to vehicle sourcing strategies
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive or retail sales, especially in high-end or luxury vehicle markets
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Expertise in B2B sales, outbound sales, and customer service within the automotive industry
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities to facilitate communication across diverse markets
- Proficiency with CRM software for managing sales pipelines and inventory control systems
- Dealership experience is highly preferred along with knowledge of inventory management and retail math
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
- Strong public speaking abilities for presentations or vendor negotiations
- Effective communication skills coupled with good phone etiquette for outbound calling campaigns
- Familiarity with marketing strategies related to vehicle acquisition and inventory promotion
