$30,000 Base Salary Plus Uncapped Commission and Bonuses

Principle Hyundai Boerne is seeking an experienced Vehicle Acquisition Specialist (Vehicle Buyer) to help grow and drive our vehicle acquisition efforts. As our Vehicle Buyer, you are a skilled vehicle appraiser with prior dealership experience and a strong understanding of used vehicle valuation, market trends, and inventory management.

• Build relationships with service guests, existing customers, and community members to identify vehicle acquisition opportunities.
• Appraise vehicles using dealership tools, market data, and condition assessments to determine fair purchase offers.
• Source vehicles through service drive visits, equity mining, CRM outreach, referrals, and online leads.
• Partner with sales, service, finance, and inventory teams to support dealership acquisition goals.
• Schedule appraisal appointments and follow up with customers throughout the selling or trade-in process.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, appraisal notes, customer activity, and acquisition results.
• Monitor market trends, vehicle values, and inventory needs to help guide acquisition strategy.
• Ensure all transactions follow dealership policies, legal requirements, OEM standards, and Principle Auto’s customer service expectations.

Requirements of the Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

• Previous dealership, appraisal, sales, or vehicle acquisition experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of used vehicle values, market trends, and reconditioning considerations.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Confident negotiation skills with the ability to present offers and close opportunities.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, appraisal tools, and dealership technology.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple follow-up opportunities.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

The Vehicle Buyer at Principle Hyundai is responsible for identifying, engaging, and acquiring trade-in vehicles from existing customers, primarily through service drive interactions and targeted outreach. This role requires a blend of customer engagement, market analysis, and negotiation skills to maximize acquisition opportunities and ensure a steady flow of high-quality pre-owned inventory. By leveraging CRM tools and proactive retention strategies, the Vehicle Buyer helps enhance customer loyalty, optimize trade-in conversions, and support the dealership’s long-term growth goals.
