Job Description
We are seeking a
Vendor Manager
for a leading construction company in Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual and operational requirements, and supporting the company’s strategic procurement activities. The role involves regular interaction with both local and international vendors, as well as close coordination with internal engineering, project, and finance teams.
Main Responsibilities:

Verify supplier data and validate supplier registration, including both manual and automated checks using external sources (e.g., Sanction lists, Orbis/BvD), compliance screening, and requesting additional information when needed.

Oversee supplier qualification processes, acting as the primary evaluator, supporting suppliers in completing qualification and ESG questionnaires, and verifying the completeness and consistency of responses and attached documents.

Manage supplier block, unblock, and derogation requests, coordinating information gathering and updating supplier status across company systems (NPP, SAP).

Coordinate the Supplier Risk Assessment process for high-value contracts, collecting financial and other data from the buyers, involving Compliance and Risk Management teams as needed.

Coordinate supplier performance evaluation campaigns and supporting project stakeholders in completing questionnaires.

Maintain constant interface with HQ to monitor processes, align on systems, and share best practices.

Demonstrate deep knowledge of the local market (Saudi Arabia) and the ability to manage relationships with local suppliers.
Requirements:

University degree, preferably in Economics, Engineering, Management, or related fields.

At least 5 years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar roles, preferably in international and complex environments.

Experience in managing local teams and/or external consultants.

Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and procurement platforms.

Knowledge of ISO standards.

Ability to act as an evaluator and manage supplier qualification, compliance, and performance processes.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Solid understanding of international procurement processes and relevant regulations.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.

Strong command of English and Arabic.
