Vendor Manager - FMCG

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vendor Manager to oversee our end-to-end supply chain operations. In this role, you will be the primary link between our vendors and internal operations, ensuring that inventory flows seamlessly from order placement to final dispatch. The ideal candidate has a strong background in FMCG, excellent negotiation skills, and a data-driven approach to inventory health.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor & Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor partners.
• Manage daily and monthly stock planning and ad hoc ordering.
• Resolve discrepancies regarding pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines.
• Perform regular vendor reconciliations and track payments/outstanding balances.

2. Inventory Control & Inwarding

• Verify physical stock against Purchase Orders (POs) and advance payments to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Take full ownership of SKU and barcode management, ensuring all products are system-ready.
• Coordinate with warehouse and finance teams to streamline the inwarding process.

3. Demand Planning & Optimization

• Monitor inventory levels using sales data to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
• Track product expiry dates and maintain overall inventory health to minimize wastage.
• Identify slow-moving or at-risk stock and implement proactive solutions.

4. Liquidation & Strategy

• Develop and execute stock liquidation strategies, including bundling, promotional pricing, and clearance activities to optimize warehouse space and capital.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3–5 years in Vendor Management, Procurement, or Inventory Operations (FMCG experience highly preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Inventory Management Software (ERP/WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret sales data for accurate demand forecasting.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, payment tracking, and stock verification.
• Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple internal departments (Finance, Warehouse, Operations)

Work Location & Timings:

• Monday to Saturday
• 10 am till 7 pm
• MACHS, Karachi
