About Us:
We are a veteran advocate company that helps veterans get their disability ratings increased through a VA accredited attorney. If you don’t know what this is, it’s the compensation they get for disabilities sustained while they were serving in the US military. We are a startup of almost 100 people and are growing quickly. Job Duties:
Veteran Advocacy Specialists (VAS) are responsible for triaging veterans; this means that they take daily onboarding calls to discuss with the veteran all previous VA disability claims filed, past approvals and denials and how to help them increase their combined disability rating. These calls should take around thirty minutes and once fully trained we expect each VAS to take 8 new onboarding calls per day. The VAS will identify ways to connect medical conditions to veteran’s time in the service and look for possible secondary conditions that have resulted from conditions incurred during service - so a medical background is a huge plus. Detailed plans for what evidence will need to be collected to support the veteran’s claims is a large focus of this role. In addition, the VAS will discuss incoming decision letters from the VA with veterans and plan for a second round of appeals.
This job requires 5-6 hours of phone time per day. We provide the phone line through our virtual phone call software called Dialpad.

Who Might Be A Fit
Other previous experience that would be helpful would be working in insurance, teaching, nursing or worker’s compensation. These are by no means a requirement, just our idea of who this role has been a fit for in our current team, the most important thing is the four skill sets we outlined in the job above.
Hours and Pay:
We are looking for someone to join our team full-time. We are a fully remote team. And have a high percentage of employees in Florida.
Because you are going to be on the phone, it’s important to maintain normal hours but this is easy due to us servicing the entire US. You will be given a generous holiday schedule and weekends. The salary is $50,000 a year with insurance available and 3 weeks of paid vacation, with plenty of room to grow in a start-up company.
