About Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP):

The Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP), established in 1983, is a registered not-for-profit organization working to empower marginalized communities through programs in livelihood, education, healthcare, and social justice. Under the Gram Seva Project , BJUP is launching the Shalihotra Express – a mobile veterinary health service designed to provide quality animal healthcare, vaccination, and advisory support to farmers and livestock owners in Araria District, Bihar.

Position Overview: Veterinary Doctor

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Veterinary Doctor to provide animal healthcare services aboard the Shalihotra Express. The Veterinary Doctor will ensure the treatment of livestock, conduct preventive vaccinations, and promote animal husbandry practices to improve rural livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat common diseases in cattle, goats, poultry, and other livestock.
• Conduct vaccination and deworming drives for preventive animal healthcare.
• Provide advisory support on nutrition, breeding, and livestock management to farmers.
• Support in organizing veterinary health camps in villages.
• Maintain records of treatments, vaccinations, and community outreach.
• Collaborate with field staff to raise awareness on animal health, hygiene, and productivity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry ( B.V.Sc & A.H. ) or higher from a recognized university.
• Valid registration with the State Veterinary Council .
• Candidate with experience in clinical practice, livestock health, or rural veterinary service will be preferred.
• Ability to work in rural areas and travel across villages through the mobile veterinary unit.
• Strong communication skills to engage with farmers and communities.

Salary & Benefits:

• ₹50,000 per month (CTO) (based on qualification and experience).
