Veterinary pharmacist

A Veterinary Pharmacist responsible for preparing, dispensing, and advising on veterinary drugs for pets, livestock, and other animals:

• Dispense prescription medications specifically formulated for animals under the guidance of veterinarians.
• Review veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, possible drug interactions, and dosage appropriateness.
• Provide counseling to animal owners and veterinary professionals on medication usage and side effects.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and documentation of veterinary drugs as per regulatory standards.
• Monitor inventory of animal-specific pharmaceuticals and manage procurement from certified suppliers.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to develop and update treatment plans based on pharmacological needs.
• Stay current with veterinary pharmaceutical research, legal regulations, and drug approval updates.
