Join our dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital setting dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a skilled and organized Pharmacy Technician to support our diverse medical departments, including Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prescription Management:
- Accurately fill prescriptions for in-hospital patients and outpatient visits across various hospital departments.
- Facilitate prescription refills, including communication and coordination with external pharmacies as needed.
- Client Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers and clients to ensure seamless pharmacy service delivery.
- Inventory Management:
- Stock and maintain pharmacy supplies to ensure medication availability at all times.
- Conduct weekly physical counts of CUBEX systems and manage inventory of controlled substances.
- Log incoming Schedule II-V (CII-CV) medications into the main supply.
- Controlled Substances Oversight:
- Maintain and monitor controlled drug logs using systems like CUBEX and ezyVet.
- Perform weekly CURES reporting and assist with CUBEX maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Resolve discrepancies, balance controlled substance logs, and manage biennial controlled drug inventory.
- Drug Disposal:
- Manage proper drug disposal procedures and oversee reverse drug disposal processes.
- Compounding and Ordering:
- Order compounding pharmacy-controlled drugs as needed to maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate closely with the Inventory Manager to manage stock and submit DEA 222 forms when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting preferred
- Familiarity with CUBEX and ezyVet systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle controlled substances responsibly.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and regulatory compliance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
