Are you an HR-minded leader who thrives in a collaborative, people-first environment? We’re a busy, independently owned veterinary clinic seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager to help lead our team with a focus on Human Resources (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching and disciplinary actions) and team culture.

What You’ll Do:

In this key leadership role, you'll be responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of the clinic with a strong emphasis on human resources. Your focus will be on supporting the team, fostering a healthy and positive workplace culture, and ensuring we continue to be a place where great veterinary professionals want to work and grow.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead all HR functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Work closely with the Hospital Administrator on managing various projects
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws, OSHA standards and HR best practices
  • Manage performance reviews, staff development and coaching
  • Support conflict resolution, team communication and morale
  • Schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage and work-life balance
  • Maintain personnel records and benefits coordination
  • Oversee the daily operations of the clinic
  • Key member of the leadership team that works together on developing protocols, policies and solving issues that arise

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience (veterinary preferred)
  • Strong background in human resources, team development, and people management
  • A calm, confident presence with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Someone who leads by example and values empathy, respect, and accountability
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Experience with HR/payroll software and scheduling tools a plus
  • A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • veterinary medicine: 2 years (Required)
  • management : 1 year (Preferred)
