Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their beloved pets, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help coordinate appointments, manage client communications, and support the veterinary team in delivering top-tier animal care.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and handle all incoming calls with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multiple calendars for veterinarians and specialists
- Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle medical collections accurately
- Maintain detailed client records, update pet information, and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with kennel management by coordinating pet drop-offs and pick-ups
- Support veterinary staff with animal handling tasks including restraint, basic pet grooming, and dog training when needed
- Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team regarding pet care instructions and follow-up needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary reception or customer service roles is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical billing, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques will be advantageous
- Experience with animal husbandry, pet grooming, dog handling, and pet care enhances your suitability for the role
- Ability to handle animals safely during restraint or treatment procedures; kennel experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
