  • Communicate with clients about medication refills, pending recommendations, lab result follow-ups, treatment plan next steps, and upcoming visits.
  • Document client communications clearly in the patient record.
  • Process payments, review balances, and assist with basic front desk financial tasks.
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information, including contact details, reminders, medical history, and appointment notes.
  • Recognize urgent or medically concerning client messages and notify the appropriate team member.
  • Help keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Support the veterinary team with basic patient handling or kennel support when needed and appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous veterinary hospital experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology is helpful.
  • Strong phone, email, and text communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized while managing appointments, client questions, and follow-up tasks.
  • Comfort discussing payments and collecting balances professionally.
  • Good attention to detail when documenting notes and updating records.
  • Ability to work well with doctors, technicians, assistants, kennel staff, and other front desk team members.
  • Comfort around dogs and cats, including basic animal handling when needed.
  • A dependable, team-focused attitude and a genuine interest in helping pets receive timely care.
