Veterinary Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our veterinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases in companion animals (dogs, cats). This role requires excellent clinical knowledge, surgical proficiency, and strong communication skills to provide the highest standard of care to patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Carry out routine and complex surgical procedures (spay/neuter, soft tissue, C-section, orthopedics, etc.).
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and preventative healthcare.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ultrasound, bloodwork, and other lab results.
• Provide emergency and critical care services when required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and aftercare.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, professional standards, and clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses, technicians, and support staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), BVSc, or equivalent degree.
• Valid veterinary license to practice in UAE.
• Proven experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Strong surgical skills and confidence in performing a wide range of procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
• Compassionate and client-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call duties if required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in emergency and critical care.
• Specialized training in orthopedics, dentistry
• Knowledge of modern veterinary equipment and digital practice management systems.
• Knowledge of Ezyvet software
