Vice President/ Senior Vice President (Commercial & Corporate Functions)


Are you an experienced Commercial Lawyer (7-8+ PQE) with a background in leading in-house legal support for major corporate transformation projects?


Our client is hiring a Vice President or Senior Vice President to be the primary legal partner to its core corporate functions.


This is a strategic, high-impact role for a lawyer with strong previous experience from top-tier private practice who has transitioned into a highly commercial, fast-paced in-house environment.


The Opportunity:


Based in Abu Dhabi , this role is not typical "Corporate Law" - it is a critical commercial role focused on operational excellence and change.


Key Focus Areas Include:


  • Commercial Contracting: High-volume drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of complex agreements (MSAs, NDAs, Licensing, Outsourcing) across Procurement, IT, and Human Capital.
  • Transformation & Change: Providing strategic legal support to corporate functions undergoing change and improvement projects.
  • Proactive Risk Management: Ensuring compliance and managing legal risk across all operational matters.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Serving as the dedicated legal liaison for senior management across IT, Procurement, and HR, etc.


The Ideal Candidate Profile:


  • Experience: 7-8+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
  • Background: Must have current/recent in-house experience, with an earlier background in a reputable international law firm.
  • Geographic Preference: Strong preference for candidates with prior experience in London or other major international financial centers.
  • Skill Set: Proven ability to manage complex internal stakeholders, drive commercially viable solutions, and adapt quickly to an entrepreneurial environment.
