The Vice President of Information Technology is a key leader on the Executive Leadership Team. This role is responsible for setting the technology direction for The Gund Company and leading all core IT functions, including cybersecurity, network infrastructure, major systems, data, and technology integration related to acquisitions. This leader will work closely with leadership to ensure IT capabilities support the companys growth and long-term strategy.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Information Technology will be responsible for:
STRATEGY AND EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
Lead the development of a clear technology strategy that supports business priorities. Oversee planning for network, security, systems, cloud, and data needs. Ensure the IT roadmap aligns with the companys growth, reliability, and performance expectations.
SYSTEMS, SECURITY, AND TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT
The Vice President of Information Technology will direct all core systems including ERP, HCM, MES, cloud platforms, and reporting tools. Establish strong cybersecurity practices and ensure the protection of company information. Drive improvements in infrastructure and connectivity across sites.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AND M&A
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating business needs into practical technology solutions. Lead IT due diligence for acquisitions and oversee integration of systems, infrastructure, and security.
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Build and develop a strong IT team. Clarify roles, strengthen leadership capability, and create an environment focused on service, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
OPERATIONS, PROJECTS, AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT
The Vice President of Information Technology will manage IT budgeting, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Ensure major initiatives are executed effectively and delivered on schedule. Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and recommend advancements that benefit the business.
