Job Summary

As the Vp of lending and HR, you will serve as a key executive, overseeing all credit union lending operations, including related loan accounting, member services, and branch management. This role demands a strategic leader with expertise in credit union multiple branch operations, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. Credit Union Management School graduation a plus.

Job Summary

The VP is a key executive role responsible for overseeing the daily loan operations of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in loan operations management and a proven track record in senior leadership. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The VP will collaborate closely with other executives to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals and foster business development initiatives.

Duties/Oversight

  • Lead and manage the all loan departments, ensuring optimal performance across all functions.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Oversee project management initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and partnerships that enhance operational capabilities and drive growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans for the organization.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.

Skills

  • Well rounded 10 plus years experience in senior consumer loan and HR leadership roles, demonstrating strong management capabilities in accounting and member services.
  • Expertise in credit union operations management
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, capable of securing favorable terms for the organization.
  • Strategic planning abilities, with experience in aligning operational goals with business development efforts, expansions and mergers
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, fostering teamwork and collaboration across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling informed decision-making based on data insights.

Job Description: : Responsible for the day to day coordination of all office services and operations, including member services and oan branch operations and senior accounting. Responsible for supervision of all various department personnel, employee payroll and benefits, accounting and computer systems management. Assists managers with complaints and resolutions. Performs various other duties and acts as a backup to all departments and the President but not exclusive to the following;

Areas of Responsibility: All credit union departments.

  • Call Report (NCUA) loan data
  • Quarterly IRS Taxes, 945, Ubit
  • Quarterly TEC Taxes
  • Marketing of products and services
  • Loan promotions
  • Production of Advertising
  • Compliance in advertising
  • Board Reports preparation loan data
  • Implementation of New Products/Services
  • Total Computer Information Systems Management for loans
  • Security, Audio
  • Month-end, Quarter-end, Year-end
  • Rate changes and other program set-ups
  • Help Maintain Credit Union operations within approved budget
  • Assist with yearly Income & Expense budgeting

  • Enforcement of policies and procedures
  • Ability to work with examiners and auditors, address issues & correct loan exceptions
  • Training of employees on regulations and changes
  • Interpretation of new and old regulation and development of Credit Union procedures (including maintaining manuals)
  • Possess knowledge concerning levy’s and garnishment and liability to Credit Union
  • Assist with negotiation of new or renewing contracts(Software, Hardware, Insurance, Bonding, Share Drafts, ATM, etc.)
  • Attend court for Credit Union for Supoena and judgment claims for bad loans
  • Evaluation of internal controls and Credit Union risk
  • Reprimand of employees and documentation of problems
  • Assist with planning and holding annual meetings
  • Supervision of managers of branch operations, with 6 month and annual reviews
  • Assist with recruiting of new companies or mergers - ByLaw Amendments/Procedures

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
