Job Description: Vice President of Marketing

Position: Vice President of Revenue

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Atlanta, GA (approximately 5 times per year)

Reports To: SVP of Operations and CEO

Sales Responsibilities (Revenue Capture & Conversion)

  • Drive Sales Performance: Own sales pipeline, close rates, and deal value. Actively track and manage deals through all stages of the funnel with a hands-on approach to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Sales Leadership & Accountability: Train, coach, and hold the sales team accountable for performance using structured KPIs, scorecards, and activity tracking. Develop high-performing AEs, CES, and sales leadership through clear expectations and rigorous follow-through.
  • Inbound Lead Coordination: Partner closely with Customer Success to ensure all inbound leads—across all sources—are tracked, responded to, and converted through a consistent and measurable process.
  • Commission & Reporting Oversight: Own the sales commission reporting process. Ensure sales activity data is clean, accurate, and clearly reported to Finance for timely commission payouts, and to the Executive Leadership Team for performance insights.

Marketing Responsibilities (Revenue Pipeline & Brand Demand)

  • Own Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and execute lead generation initiatives across paid search, conferences, and content. Prioritize ROI-focused marketing that drives qualified leads into the sales funnel.
  • Brand & Demand Marketing: Position ChartRequest as a trusted authority in medical record retrieval through content syndication, conference presence, and brand consistency. Ensure messaging aligns with buyer needs and sales positioning.
  • HubSpot Funnel Optimization: Maximize HubSpot to build a reliable, automated marketing funnel. Leverage lifecycle stages, scoring, segmentation, and attribution to optimize conversion rates at every stage.
  • Marketing ROI & Funnel Analytics: Track and report on marketing effectiveness using metrics like CAC, LTV, conference ROI, and paid campaign performance. Use data to continuously refine spend allocation and messaging strategies.

Sales and Marketing Direct/Indirect Reports:

  • Content Manager: Responsible for quarterly content planning, content creation (sales & marketing), editorial approval & publication, and reporting of marketing activities and results.
  • Marketing Ops Lead: Works as a liaison between Marketing and Sales, focusing on analytics and scorecard reporting, HubSpot operations & hygiene, conference coordination, and email list segmentation and delivery.
  • Webmaster: Owns the marketing website, intranet, and internal and client-facing knowledge base. Works closely with the Content Manager to ensure all external-facing digital assets are aligned with the ChartRequest marketing strategy.
  • Content Copywriter: Creates content for newsletters, social media, website, and beyond.
  • Enterprise Sales Director: Focuses on national accounts alongside the Sales Directors and BDR team.
  • Regional Sales Director/Account Executive: Targets group practice/SMB sales and assists with enterprise/hospital sales in their assigned territory.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably within the ChartRequest healthcare sector.
  • 5+ years of experience with Hubspot and data-driven sales processes.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, capable of identifying market opportunities and translating them into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on mentorship and development of sales and marketing talent.
  • High-level attention to detail and organization with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and prioritization.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% conferences and prospective clients.
  • Familiarity with EOS, LVL10 Meetings, and Rock Setting is preferred.

Compensation. This role is a management role with quarterly incentive compensation plan performance bonuses. The base compensation will be between $100,000 - $135,000 and the On Target Earnings will be between $115,000 - $160,000 depending on leadership and management experience. Prior sales and marketing leadership and management experience is a requirement for this role.

Hybrid Policy. You can live wherever you'd like, but you must commute to our office in Atlanta, GA approximately 2x times per week for end of quarter meeting and functional meetings.
