About the Role:

The VP of Nursing is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to established policies and procedures while maintaining compliance across all nursing operations. Key responsibilities include managing operational costs, overseeing place-of-service considerations (Home, AIS, AIC), and providing leadership for AIC operations. Additionally, the position will develop and implement comprehensive training programs to support staff proficiency and quality care delivery.

Candidates for this role may be based in any of the following states: Georgia (GA), Alabama (AL), Tennessee (TN), Arkansas (AR), Colorado (CO), or Louisiana (LA) and will require 30–50% travel.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and policy development for nursing services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote clinical excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee nursing operations across all place-of-service settings, including Home, AIS (Adult In-Home Services), and AIC (Adult Inpatient Care).
  • Provide executive leadership for AIC operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
  • Manage operational costs and resource allocation to support sustainable care delivery.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to enhance staff proficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on nursing-related matters and represent the nursing department in organizational decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
  • Immunoglobulin Certified Nurse (IGNS).
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive nursing experience with at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing best practices.
  • Infusion background with experience working within AIC or AIS healthcare environments
  • Proven experience managing large nursing teams and complex healthcare operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Nursing Leadership or Executive Nursing Practice (e.g., NEA-BC).

  • Experience in a multi-facility healthcare system or large hospital setting.

  • Strong background in quality improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated advanced leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide nursing teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop policies and initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance to ensure nursing practices meet legal and accreditation standards.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively while maintaining quality care.
  • Proficiency in data analysis supports evidence-based decision-making and continuous quality improvement. Familiarity with healthcare technology to drive innovation and improving clinical outcomes.
